Billy Wig

So, I wrote a children’s book!

It’s funny how the creative process works. A few years ago, I sat down to write an essay about something that was agitating me.

But what came out was the transformational story of a boy coming to terms with himself and his emotions in the world.

I contacted my good friend Harinder Virdee, who is a painter and artist, and asked her to translate the words with her interpretation of the characters and story. We worked back and forth.

Then we hired a children’s book consultant and then an editor. And together, we all created this little gem!

Billy Wig is a fun and endearing story, enjoyed by dreamers of all ages…

Billy and his dog Stig liked to wear wigs. They had one for feeling calm and another for feeling happy. They wore a wig to drink tea and another to swim in the sea. But, one day, Mr Murphy said something wise, which opened Billy's eyes ... forever.

Billy Wig is available in glossy paperbook and for Kindle.
